Hi There,

For those of you who have been here for a while, you know this page first launched in 2018 while I was still a junior in college. I spent the spring semester abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark and the summer as an intern at Southwest Airlines. Looking back, that was truly one of the best years of my life — filled with joy, adventure and energy. This was meant to be a space where I uploaded my silly little YouTube videos of my friends and I, wrote about my travels, and shared a piece of my day. But it has been nearly five years since my last post, and between adulthood, a global pandemic, and a new city every year — life got busy and I truthfully also felt lazy and uninspired.

Last year, after fifteen years since immigrating from the Philippines to the United States, my family and I finally became US Citizens. With that, I was able to finally get a US passport which unlocked tons of travel opportunities that were previously limited to me as a Filipino passport holder. I have been blessed with the chance to travel to over 50 countries and all 50 US States as a Filipino citizen, largely thanks to a small list of Visa-free countries in Asia and Latin America plus my 6 months of Danish student visa which allowed me to travel freely within the Schengen Zone. The US passport however gives me the freedom to visit more than 100 countries that I would not have been able to without a visa. If you know you know, these visa application processes can be lengthy and expensive, so I am truly grateful to finally have a blue passport.

With the opportunity to travel more freely and a job in the airline industry that gives me the privilege to travel for free (on standby of course) — I have started to share more and more of my travels on my Private Instagram. I truly enjoy creating content and interacting with my friends and followers, but I always felt insecure and also scared of going public. I am scared of troll comments, judgement from strangers and hurtful interactions. But my small but supportive community have always encouraged me to share my story, my voice, and my adventures. It took me a while to finally muster up the courage to do so, so here goes the first step. I am not entirely sure where I am taking this next, but surrounded by love and encouragement — I’d be remiss not to try.
